The Top Digital Advertising Events to Attend in 2019

The new year is well and truly underway and it’s time to get planning your event calendars if you’ve not already started! Below we’ve collected the best digital advertising conferences to attend in 2019, some of which we will also be attending. From Paris to San Francisco, check out what this year’s lineup has in store!

First up on the list for this year and happening later this month is AdExchanger’s Industry Preview, which brings media, technology and marketing leaders together to observe and discuss the biggest trends set to dominate the year. The agenda looks jam-packed with various topics in the digital advertising space so make sure to check it out!

ad:tech is a series of interactive advertising technology conferences and exhibitions hosted worldwide. ad:tech New Delhi focuses on current trends in the digital ecosystem and brings marketing, technology, and media communities together to discuss and tackle the disruptive technology set to change the industry. The theme of this year’s event is ‘Winning the Future: the Growth Imperatives‘ and focuses on topics such as AI, creative content and new opportunities in gaming and sport. Advertising Week is the “premier event for marketing, brand, advertising, and technology professionals” and now takes place in 5 cities around the world. The European edition of Advertising Week takes place in London for the seventh year and brings together “unique media, marketing, brand, technology and broader industry communities from throughout Europe”. Digiday is holding a large range of events worldwide again this year and there are some fascinating summits lined up in North America, Europe, and the APAC region. The first Digiday Publishing Summit of 2019 will be held in Colorado and will focus on “how publishers are going beyond advertising”, how to attract younger audiences and “provide mobile-friendly content”, and looking towards the future of Programmatic advertising.   • d3con – 3rd April, Hamburg

Described as “the world’s biggest event on the topic of Programmatic Advertising”, d3con brings together industry experts and service providers, along with advertisers, publishers and agencies to discuss and tackle challenges faced within the industry. ‘Exposing Ad Fraud’, ‘Inhousing vs. In-housing – Outsourcing in Online Marketing’ and the shifts in programmatic advertising are just a few of the topics covered.   • ATS – April 3rd, Paris

The first of ExchangeWire’s ATS events occurs in Paris in April, followed by conferences in Madrid, Singapore, London, and Berlin respectively. Similar to d3con, ATS Paris will focus on the challenges and trends of programmatic advertising and also those within the marketing technology industry. The attendees will range from agencies, ad exchanges and ad servers to publishers and tools & apps developers. Programmatic I/O is known as the largest programmatic conference in the world and is held in both San Francisco and New York by AdExchanger. Not one to be missed, Programmatic I/O in SF brings together over 1,200 “programmatic professionals and executives from top brands, agencies, publishers, media companies and technology providers.” The San Francisco conference also hosts the AdExchanger Awards, which recognizes the “strongest achievements in the past year by leaders in the marketing and media industries”.

  • DMEXCO – 11th-12th September, Cologne

The Digital Marketing Expo and Conference (DMEXCO) takes place once again in Cologne, gathering together key players in digital business, innovation, and marketing for two days of debates, seminars, and networking.
